Lalu, apa sebenarnya arti dari judul lagu ini? Dalam wawancara eksklusif, Rosé mengungkapkan bahwa lagu ini terinspirasi dari permainan minum Korea favoritnya yang bernama Apartment. "Saya ingat pulang dari studio dengan perasaan sedikit khawatir. Apakah ini benar, bahwa saya menulis lagu tentang permainan minum?" ungkapnya. Bingung, Rosé sempat meminta timnya untuk menghapus lagu tersebut dari ponsel mereka, namun ternyata timnya sudah terlanjur jatuh cinta dengan lagu itu. Untuk menghormati akar budayanya, sepanjang lagu ini, baik Rosé maupun Mars tetap menggunakan pengucapan Korea untuk apartemen, yaitu apateu atau 아파트.
Dalam beberapa hari terakhir, Rosé dan Mars yang juga ikut memproduseri single ini bersama Cirkut, Omer Fedi, dan Rogét Chahayed, dengan lincah mempromosikan "Apt." di media sosial. Mereka memperlihatkan chemistry yang begitu kuat, sebagaimana yang terdengar dalam musiknya. "Tidur besok, tapi malam ini bersenang-senanglah.
