NONTONNEWS.COM - Bahrain Football Association (BFA) baru-baru ini mengungkapkan bahwa situs web dan akun media sosial mereka mengalami serangan siber. Melalui akun Instagram resmi mereka, @bahrainfa, BFA menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya sedang menghadapi percobaan peretasan yang berulang dan meminta semua pihak untuk mengambil langkah pencegahan.
“Website, akun media sosial, dan sistem kami sedang diserang siber,” tulis BFA pada Senin, 14 Oktober 2024, dini hari WIB. Serangan ini mencakup upaya untuk mengakses, merusak, atau mengganggu sistem komputer dan data secara ilegal, menggunakan berbagai metode, termasuk penyebaran virus dan serangan pada infrastruktur internet.
Menurut pernyataan BFA, akun korespondensi asosiasi juga menjadi target, dengan beberapa akun karyawan diretas dan layanan mengalami gangguan. Serangan ini tidak hanya terbatas pada organisasi, tetapi juga menyasar akun media sosial pemain Bahrain, yang terpaksa menerima komentar-komentar negatif dan tidak pantas dari netizen.
Majdi Aldoseri, Ketua Departemen IT BFA, menekankan pentingnya kewaspadaan dalam menghadapi situasi ini. “Kami meminta semua pihak yang menggunakan sistem korespondensi elektronik Bahrain FC untuk berhati-hati, jangan mengklik tautan yang mencurigakan, dan segera mengganti kata sandi mereka untuk menghindari peretasan lebih lanjut,” ungkapnya.
Meskipun menghadapi tantangan ini, BFA menegaskan bahwa serangan siber tidak akan menghalangi mereka dalam menjalankan fungsi sebagai badan penyelenggara sepak bola di Kerajaan Bahrain. “Kampanye peretasan ini tidak akan mempengaruhi program kerja kami dalam menyelenggarakan kegiatan, acara, dan kompetisi sepak bola,” tutup BFA.
