Menurut cerita rakyat, Kromoleo adalah sosok makhluk halus yang menyerupai sekelompok orang berjubah hitam yang mengusung keranda mayat. Konon, jika Kromoleo lewat di suatu desa, maka akan ada warga desa yang meninggal. Kemunculan Kromoleo ini biasanya diiringi dengan suara gesekan keranda dan bau kematian.
Film Kromoleo mengambil setting di tahun 1984 dan menceritakan tentang teror Kromoleo di sebuah desa. Zia, yang baru saja kembali dari kota untuk menghadiri pemakaman ibunya, harus menghadapi kenyataan bahwa Kromoleo telah kembali dan meneror warga desa.
Film ini dibintangi oleh beberapa aktor ternama Indonesia, seperti Safira Ratu Sofia, Tio Pakusadewo, Rukman Rosadi, Cornelio Sunny, Abun Sungkar, dan Dayu Wijanto. Kromoleo telah ditayangkan di bioskop Indonesia pada tanggal 22 Agustus 2024.
