Salah satu momen paling mengejutkan dalam trailer adalah adegan permainan Red Light, Green Light, permainan pertama dari musim sebelumnya yang kini kembali dengan tingkat ketegangan yang lebih tinggi. Gi-hun berusaha memberi petunjuk pada para peserta baru untuk bertahan, namun beberapa dari mereka tetap menghadapi ancaman yang mematikan akibat kesalahan kecil. Musim kedua ini tidak hanya menampilkan kembali karakter utama, tetapi juga beberapa sosok misterius lainnya, termasuk sang Front Man yang terkenal dengan topeng hitamnya dan Hwang Jun-ho, polisi yang menyusup ke dalam permainan di musim pertama. Kembalinya karakter-karakter ini memberikan ketegangan tambahan pada cerita, terutama saat Jun-ho mencoba menemukan kakaknya yang hilang dan mengungkap rahasia di balik permainan ini.
