NONTONNEWS.COM - Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) Republik Indonesia, Dito Ariotedjo, memberikan kabar positif terkait kelanjutan proses naturalisasi pemain Kevin Diks. Dito menjelaskan bahwa proses naturalisasi calon pemain Timnas Indonesia tersebut kemungkinan akan dilanjutkan minggu depan, bertepatan dengan transisi pemerintahan baru di Indonesia.
Kevin Diks adalah pemain terbaru yang tengah mengajukan naturalisasi untuk memperkuat Timnas Indonesia. Kehadiran bek berusia 28 tahun ini diharapkan membawa angin segar bagi Skuad Garuda yang saat ini tengah berusaha keras untuk mengamankan tiket ke Piala Dunia 2026.
Pemain yang saat ini membela klub FC Copenhagen tersebut sedang menunggu tahapan akhir dalam proses naturalisasinya sesuai dengan prosedur yang berlaku. Beberapa tahapan penting yang harus dilalui Kevin termasuk persetujuan dari pemerintah dan DPR, pengambilan sumpah sebagai Warga Negara Indonesia (WNI), serta perpindahan federasi sepak bola.
Menpora Dito mengungkapkan bahwa pihaknya baru saja menerima dokumen naturalisasi Kevin dari PSSI. Ia menambahkan bahwa kemungkinan besar dokumen tersebut akan diproses pada minggu depan, mengingat adanya transisi pemerintahan dari Presiden Joko Widodo ke Presiden terpilih Prabowo Subianto, serta perubahan dalam struktur DPR.
"Surat dari PSSI terkait Kevin Diks baru kami terima kemarin," ujar Dito kepada media di Kantor Kemenpora RI, Jumat (18/10/2024). "Kami berharap proses ini bisa berjalan minggu depan setelah pemerintahan baru terbentuk," lanjutnya.
Prabowo Subianto dijadwalkan akan dilantik sebagai Presiden RI pada 20 Oktober mendatang, dan segera setelah itu, ia akan mengumumkan susunan kabinet barunya. Dito Ariotedjo, yang sebelumnya memenuhi panggilan Prabowo di Kertanegara, diprediksi akan tetap menjabat sebagai Menpora dalam kabinet Prabowo. Jika benar, kehadiran Dito di posisi tersebut dapat mempercepat proses naturalisasi Kevin Diks di DPR.
Jika proses naturalisasi Kevin berjalan lancar, ada peluang besar bagi bek kelahiran Ambon ini untuk menjalani debutnya bersama Timnas Indonesia pada bulan November mendatang. Skuad Garuda dijadwalkan akan menghadapi Jepang pada 15 November dan Arab Saudi pada 19 November dalam laga kandang, dan kehadiran Kevin Diks tentu akan menjadi tambahan kekuatan yang signifikan bagi tim nasional.
