NONTONNEWS.COM - Gelaran MotoGP Mandalika yang berlangsung pada Minggu, 29 September 2024, menjadi titik penting dalam persaingan menuju gelar juara dunia. Jorge Martin tampil dominan sejak start hingga finis, memperkokoh posisinya di puncak klasemen. Balapan ini juga memperlihatkan ketatnya persaingan antara Martin dan Francesco Bagnaia, yang terus berusaha mengejar perolehan poin menuju akhir musim.
Jorge Martin, yang memimpin klasemen sementara, tidak tertandingi sejak awal balapan dan berhasil finis di posisi pertama. Pedro Acosta, pembalap asal Spanyol lainnya yang membela KTM, meraih posisi kedua, sementara juara bertahan Francesco Bagnaia menutup podium di posisi ketiga setelah mengalami beberapa kendala teknis di awal balapan.
Kemenangan ini membuat Martin semakin kokoh di puncak klasemen dengan 366 poin, unggul 21 poin dari Bagnaia yang berada di posisi kedua dengan 345 poin. Meski hanya finis di urutan ketiga, Bagnaia mampu memangkas jarak tiga poin dari Martin setelah meraih posisi pertama di Sprint Race sehari sebelumnya.
Di posisi ketiga klasemen, Enea Bastianini tetap bertahan dengan 291 poin, disusul oleh Marc Marquez dengan 288 poin. Namun, baik Bastianini maupun Marquez gagal menyelesaikan balapan utama di Mandalika akibat masalah teknis.
Jalannya Balapan
Jorge Martin memulai balapan dengan gemilang dari pole position, diikuti oleh Pedro Acosta dan Marco Bezzecchi. Francesco Bagnaia yang memenangi Sprint Race, start dari posisi keempat. Namun, di awal balapan, Bagnaia mengalami masalah pada kopling yang membuatnya melorot hingga posisi keenam. Meskipun begitu, Bagnaia perlahan mampu memperbaiki posisinya dan pada lap ke-23 berhasil naik ke posisi ketiga setelah menyalip Franco Morbidelli.
Di tikungan ketiga pada lap pertama, insiden kecelakaan melibatkan empat pembalap sekaligus Alex Marquez, Aleix Espargaro, Jack Miller, dan Luca Marini membuat mereka harus keluar dari persaingan. Sementara itu, Fabio Di Giannantonio dan Marc Marquez juga terpaksa mengakhiri balapan lebih cepat karena masalah teknis. Marquez, yang tampil gemilang di Sprint Race dengan menempati podium ketiga, mengalami kebakaran mesin di lap ke-12, dan Bastianini juga terjatuh di lap ke-21.
