Menpora Dito Ariotedjo mengatakan dua peraih medali emas Olimpiade 2024 Rizki Juniansyah dan Veddriq Leonardo akan menerima bonus Rp 6 miliar. Sementara untuk Gregoria Mariska Tunjung akan mendapat apresiasi Rp 1,65 miliar.
"Untuk emas dapat Rp 6 Miliar, medali perunggu Rp 1,65 miliar. Kemudian untuk pelatih emas dapat Rp 2,75 miliar, dan pelatih perunggu Rp 675 juta," dalam jumpa persnya.
Bonus yang diberikan tidak hanya berupa uang tunai, tetapi juga berbagai fasilitas menarik lainnya. Tujuan dari pemberian bonus ini adalah untuk memberikan apresiasi yang setinggi-tingginya kepada para atlet, meningkatkan kesejahteraan mereka, serta mendorong semangat juang generasi muda untuk terus berprestasi di bidang olahraga.
Besaran bonus yang diberikan tentu saja menjadi sorotan publik. Namun, di balik angka fantastis tersebut, terdapat harapan besar agar bonus ini dapat dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya oleh para atlet. Pemerintah juga diharapkan dapat memberikan pendampingan yang memadai agar para atlet mampu mengelola keuangan mereka dengan bijak.
Selain itu, bonus yang diberikan juga diharapkan dapat menjadi katalisator bagi perkembangan olahraga di Indonesia. Dengan adanya dukungan finansial yang kuat, diharapkan akan semakin banyak fasilitas olahraga yang dibangun, program pembinaan atlet yang ditingkatkan, serta munculnya bibit-bibit atlet baru yang berbakat.
