Robot futuristik ini memiliki desain yang mengesankan, menyerupai mech raksasa dari dunia Gundam. Menurut laporan Reuters, ARCHAX dijual dengan harga US$3 juta (sekitar Rp. 45 Miliar), harga yang tinggi tersebut menunjukkan betapa canggihnya teknologi di baliknya. Robot ini memiliki dua mode utama, yaitu "mode robot" yang memungkinkannya berdiri tegak seperti Gundam, dan "mode kendaraan" yang memungkinkan ARCHAX bergerak hingga kecepatan 10 km per jam.
Dengan peluncuran resmi di Japan Mobility Show, Tsubame Industries berharap ARCHAX dapat digunakan dalam berbagai bidang, seperti bantuan dalam bencana alam.
